The overexpression of STD1 from a strong constitutive promoter prevents the suppression of the snf3 null growth defect on low glucose by mth1 null and results in no growth on low glucose of snf3 mth1 (UCD2875) (column 1). The vector only control in the same strain can grow (column 2). Overexpression of STD1 does not prevent the suppression of the snf3 null in snf3 rgt1 (UCD2876) (column 3) indicating the requirement of RGT1 for STD1function. The vector only control in snf3 rgt1 (UCD2876) is shown in (column 4).
