  1. FCT is the correlation of random haplotypes within a group of populations, relative to that of random pairs of haplotypes drawn from the whole species. FSC is the correlation of the molecular diversity of random haplotypes within populations, relative to that of random pairs of haplotypes drawn from the region. FST is the correlation of random haplotypes within populations, relative to that of random pairs of haplotypes drawn from the whole species.
