Nucleosome profiles around transcriptional start sites in the wild type and Δasf1. Results are shown for two independent biological replicates for each strain. To account for differences in read coverage, nucleosome occupancy was normalized by setting the highest occupancy for each gene to 1 before calculating averages. Averages at each position were calculated for genes with RPKM values in the wild type of < 1 or > 5, respectively. The y-axis gives the relative nucleosome occupancy within each sample (the scale of the y-axis is the same within each sample, graphs were stacked along the y-axis for better visibility)
