Subcongenic mapping. The 129P1 donor regions on mouse chromosome 7 in the subcongenic strain created by backcrossing male B6znt7-KO congenic mice to female 129P1 mice are shown by the light grey bars. The black bars indicate the region from the B6 recipient genome. The genomic locations of the proximal and distal borders of the B6.129P1-7 L and B6.129P1-7SD regions were indicated above the bars. A previously identified QTL for body weight and fat mass [16] is presented under the bars. SNP markers used to define the QTL are listed.
